JULIE STARR DRESNER
Julie Starr Dresner currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She has a great sense of style and you will never see her without any jewelry on. Julie's inspiration comes from her love of antiques, because of their age, beauty, rarity, and personal connection.
Before living in Los Angeles, she received a degree in fine arts and art history from the University of Michigan. After graduating, she went to California and took design courses at the San Francisco School of Fashion Design, which sparked Julie's interest in antique clothing. Julie began collecting vintage fabric, buttons, trims, and old jewelry. She loved designing clothing using many of these repurposed materials. Julie moved to Los Angeles and worked as a design assistant for a denim and leather manufacturer. She then designed custom leather clothing and sold the collection to local stores and many celebrities.
Julie Starr Dresner then worked as a motion picture costumer on films such as: Back to the Future, Flashdance, Pennies from Heaven, Heart Like a Wheel, Red Dawn, Against All Odds, About Last Night
and 5 seasons on the TV show Night Court.
After many years in the film/TV business, Julie dedicated her time to developing a jewelry line and learned various jewelry techniques. She specializes in silver and gold smithing, casting, bezel setting, stringing and wire wrapping.
Julie’s collection is sold at many stores and boutiques locally and internationally. Her jewelry has been seen in many feature films, TV shows and in print.
